  • Affordable Accessory Dwelling Units (AADU)

    Wellfleet's AADU bylaw encourages residents to create affordable rental dwellings in their home or on their property. In return, owners receive a tax exemption.

  • Rental Assistance

    The Town of Wellfleet Housing Authority (WHA) provides ongoing funding for rental assistance to tenants who rent year-round units in Wellfleet.

  • Gull Pond Road

    Community Housing Resource, Inc. (CHR) of Provincetown has been awarded a contract to develop 5 affordable condominium units on this 2.2 acre site.

  • Fred Bell Way

    Community Development Partners (CDP), in partnership with the Wellfleet Housing Authority, developed, owns, and manages the apartment buildings at Fred Bell Way.

  • AADU Design Competition

    The Wellfleet Housing Authority and the Housing Partnership are participating in a design contest with the Wellfleet Modern House Trust to generate interest in designing and developing a small affordable home of less than 800 square feet.

  • Old King's Highway

    The Town of Wellfleet gave the Housing Authority several plots of land on Old King's Highway to develop affordable homes. The original idea was to apply to the USDA for funding to participate in their Self-Help Home Building Program but this program become a casualty of federal budget cuts.

  • Buy Down Program

    Using funds provided by the Community Preservation Committee and approved by the voters of Wellfleet first-time home buyers can apply for help to reduce the purchase price of a home. So far the Program has made grants of up to $125,000 to three moderate-income families.

  • Down Payment & Closing Cost Assistance Program

    The Town of Wellfleet is providing a zero-interest deferred payment loan of up to $20,000 to qualified moderate-income applicants to help 1st-time homebuyers afford to buy a home in the community.

  • Estate Planning

    The Wellfleet Local Housing Partnership received a grant from the Community Preservation Committee to develop an Estate Planning Program to encourage folks, when they do their estate planning, to consider making tax deductible donations of homes, property, securities or other valuables to the Wellfleet Affordable Housing Trust Fund.
